Have you heard of Ted Nicholas?
He was the magic man behind numerous successful businesses. He owned and operated a candy business (and 18 other businesses).
He also was a very successfully author, publisher and created a slew of info-products that sold like crazy!
As a boy, his son Dave wondered how did he do it? How did he sell so many books? Magic? A fluke? Or maybe it was by chance or maybe an accident? Yes, it seemed like magic to his young son.
It was years later that his son solved the mystery. And the good news is that Ted taught his son Dave all his trade secrets. And the rest, as they say, is history.
So, what is the “magic formula” to all the mystery?
I can tell you in one word: Marketing!
That’s right marketing. If you’ll take the time to learn how to successful sell and market your stuff, the world can truly be your oyster. And as a result, you’ll never have to worry about money again.
Marketing is the heartbeat of every successful business, no matter what type business you’re running.
Hey, do you want in on a little secret?
Yes? Ok. Here it is. The quickest, easiest way to learn marketing is to find someone is a master and model their success. If you can, find a mentor and learn from them. Buy their books, courses, if they have such program, join their mailing lists, then dive in and learn all you can.
But here’s a caveat. Don’t become just a student. Put your newfound knowledge into action. This is key. Practice what you learn. Test out these new ideas in your own business. Nothing ever happens in a vacuum. So, move forward with enthusiasm and put these plans into action.
The reason for Ted’s success as an entrepreneur, marketer and copywriter was that he put for the action necessary for success. He dug deeper that his competitors. He learned what his customers needed and wanted. He studied products from the buyer’s view. He was willing to test and fail more often (not so of others).
So the moral of the story is spend most of your time “marketing.” And most surely success will come.
